Soybean Oil. In 2020, Brazil expects to increase soy oil shipments by 25%, mainly due to the drought in Argentina, according to data from Cattalini Terminais Marítimos, the main Brazilian soy oil export company, located in Paranaguá - PR.
"It will export more than last year, today Cattalini has already performed 630 thousand tons from January to June. And I have a projection for the month of July of 70 thousand tons (of soy oil)" comments Lucas Cezar Guzen, commercial manager senior manager at Cattalini. According to CEPEA (Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics) the demand for soy oil has grown again especially for the production of biodiesel.
